“The president needs to go out and relentlessly target price reduction,’’ said Evan Roth Smith, lead pollster for Blueprint, a Democratic public opinion group. “Voters don't view him as in the fight on prices.’’

The poll was the second this week to deliver devastating news for Adams. After a Quinnipiac University poll found him receiving a record-low approval rating of 28 percent, Slingshot found the mayor had a 37-56 job approval rating….A Slingshot representative said no one commissioned the private survey.

“You can talk about these things everywhere, at the loudest possible volume. You can put the president on a podium in front of a pharmaceutical company headquarters, talking about bringing the prices down,” said Blueprint strategist Evan Roth Smith.

“When Democrats strongly associate themselves with their most popular accomplishments, they do well,” Roth Smith said.

“The more Hochul gets out the vote in New York City, the more wiggle room she has with swing voters in the Hudson Valley, in Long Island, and the Buffalo suburbs,” said Alyssa Cass

“Pat has been a leader in keeping his community safe,” Cass said. “He’s led on the issue, partnering with local law enforcement to increase their funding, ramped up efforts to take guns off our streets, and has supported reforms to cash bail to support and protect our communities.”
